Freshly squeezed juice makes all the difference when making margaritas. Top-shelf tequila doesn’t hurt, either!
 
ingredients:
2 cups good-quality tequila
1 cup Cointreau or triple sec
2½ cups fresh lime juice
1¼ cups fresh orange juice
½ cup superfine sugar
½ cup kosher salt
Lime wedges
Crushed ice, for serving

1. Combine the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, orange juice, and sugar in a pitcher. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Refrigerate until chilled.

2. Spread the salt in an even layer on a small plate. Rub the lime wedges around the rims of 8 margarita or martini glasses to moisten. Dip the rims in the salt. Fill each glass with crushed ice. Pour the margarita mixture into each glass and serve immediately.
