
This award-winning recipe from John Haynes of Kent, Ohio, puts a south-of-the-border spin on an American classic. Judges at the National Hamburger Festival in Akron flipped for it, and you will, too! Other prize-winners from the fest include the Bronco Buster Burger and the Sweet Tart Mini Burger.
1. Make salsa. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and let set overnight.
2. Combine ground beef, taco seasoning, and tequila in a large bowl; mix thoroughly. Separate into 6 patties.
3. Grill patties over an open flame until they reach desired doneness. Place on buns and top with cheese, salsa, lettuce, sour cream, green onions, and black olives.
