
1. Peel the potatoes and cut in half lengthwise. Cut each half lengthwise into 3 or 4 wedges, depending on the size of the potato.
2. Place the potatoes and water in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, orange juice, cinnamon stick, and salt and bring the mixture to a low boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered , for about 25 minutes, until the potatoes are tender when pierced with the tip of a small knife and the sauce is thick and syrupy. Serve warm with the syrup spooned over and around the potatoes.
