Add a colorful DIY touch to your backyard table with these easy paint dipped candleholders.

What you’ll need:

• Basic glass votive holder (such as these)
• Acrylic craft paint
• 16 oz disposable plastic cups
• Rubbing alcohol in a spritzer bottle
• Plastic spoon and plastic plate

Directions:

1. Cut down a plastic cup to measure approximately 3 inches tall.

2. Measure out ½ cup of paint into the cup, then dilute the paint with about a ½ tsp of water. Stir until evenly combined.

3. Dip the votive holder into the cup of paint, angling the votive to get the desired design. Spray any air bubbles on the paint surface with a spritz of alcohol (The alcohol will dissolve the bubbles, and leave the paint surface nice and smooth.)

4. Dry the votives right-side up on a plastic plate, overnight. (Drying them right-side up will keep paint from dripping in the wrong direction.)

5. Turn the votive holders over and let them dry bottom-side up for a few more hours.
