Who knew that Tootsie Rolls could be shaped into bunny heads and Starburst candies could be chopped into chick beaks and bunny noses? With a little bit of know-how and creativity, you can transform everyday candies and snack foods into adorable cupcake adornments. This month, we tested a handful of common goodies that can be found year-round in your grocery store and used them to create the cutest cupcakes you've seen yet.

Vanilla frosting
Yellow-dyed coconut 1 large marshmallow 1 pretzel stick Orange Starburst beak 1 mini marshmallow Gel icing |
1. Ice cupcake. Coat with yellow coconut.
2. Press pretzel stick into the base of a marshmallow & coat marshmallow with vanilla icing. Cover with yellow coconut. 3. Press marshmallow/pretzel stick into the top of the cupcake. 4. Press orange Starburst beak into chick head, using icing if needed. 5. Cut two thin slices off of 1 mini marshmallow to form the whites of the chick's eyes. Attach to chick’s head with icing. Using the black gel icing, draw pupils in the marshmallow slices. |

Vanilla frosting
2 Tootsie Rolls Gel icings 1 small red Starburst nose Pretzel stick |
1. Microwave 2 Tootsie rolls for 10-15 seconds until malleable. Press candies together and shape into a flat bunny’s head.
2. Draw two eyes using gel icing. Attach a small starburst nose to the bunny's head with icing. 3. Press bunny head into an iced cupcake, using a pretzel stick to prop up the bunny if needed. |

Chocolate frosting
Green-dyed coconut 2 marshmallows 1 pretzel stick Vanilla frosting, dyed yellow Gel icings Wax paper |
1. Ice cupcake with chocolate frosting. Sprinkle with green coconut.
2. Press pretzel stick into marshmallow. Microwave yellow dyed vanilla icing in a small bowl for 10-15 seconds. Stir icing until it reaches a creamy consistency. 3. Holding the pretzel stick, dip marshmallow into yellow icing to coat completely. Allow it to rest on wax paper. 4. Draw face on bee with gel icings 5. Remove bee from wax paper and stick into the cupcake. 6. Draw stripes onto bee with gel icing. 7. Cut the 2nd marshmallow width-wise, about ¼ inch thick. Cut that slice in half, to form bee wings. Secure wings on top of bee. |

Chocolate frosting
Green-dyed coconut 1 marshmallow Pink sugar crystals/sprinkles 1 yellow jellybean/candy |
1. Ice cupcake with chocolate frosting and sprinkle with green coconut.
2. Cut 4 slices of a marshmallow and press sticky side of each slice into pink sugar 3. Secure each as a “flower” petal on the cupcake and place a yellow candy in the center of the petals. |

Chocolate frosting
Green-dyed coconut 1 Marshmallow 1 mini marshmallow Gel icing 1 small red Starburst nose Pink Sugar Crystals |
1. Ice cupcake with a mound of chocolate frosting. Sprinkle with green coconut
2. Cut large marshmallow in half. On the flat side of the marshmallow draw two eyes. 3. Attach small Starburst nose to bunny's face using icing. 4. Cut the other half of the large marshmallow in half to make two ears and dip sticky side in pink sugar crystals. Attach to bunny head with frosting. 5. Press bunny head into cupcake as if he's peeking out of the icing. 6. Slice mini marshmallow in half and press each into the icing at the base of the bunny's head. They should appear to be his paws. |
